More than 100 community partners providing resources for veterans today

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — It's the 21st anniversary of the Veteran's Stand Down event in Kern County today.

The event focuses on providing resources for homeless veterans in the community. However, everyone who served as well as their dependents are welcome to attend.

Over 100 community partners will be on hand to assist veterans with various needs.

Veterans can receive free breakfast, lunch, groceries, hygiene kits and more.

The event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stramler Park.
