Jackpots for both Mega Millions and Powerball were on the rise Friday, with more than $670 million in prize money up for grabs between the two lottery drawings.

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $420 million, according to the California Lottery. They say Friday morning alone the jackpot spiked by $15 million due to increased sales. This makes it the 7th largest jackpot in the game's history and is the 21st largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. If no one wins Friday's drawing, the California Lottery says the jackpot will roll to an estimated $470 million.

Saturday night the Powerball drawing will be held, offering a $255 million jackpot. The California Lottery says if a person opts for a lump sum they could walk away with $148.4 million.

Powerball ticket sales end at 7 p.m. Saturday with the drawing taking place at about 8 p.m. So you have to buy your tickets by that cut-off time to be a part of Saturday's drawing.
