BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Cal State University of Bakersfield President Lynette Zylezney congratulated graduating students on their accomplishments and spent time recognizing those students who couldn't be there Friday.

Student's like Demi Domiguez who was pregnant with her son, passed away just weeks ago.

CSUB honored Dominguez by presenting her degree to her mother and with a standing ovation from the graduating class.

Other graduates recognized included veterans and those who are the first in their families to get a college degree.

Now they look forward to bigger and brighter things.
