A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in northwest Bakersfield early Sunday morning.
Bakersfield Police said they responded to a single-motorcycle crash on the eastbound lanes of the Westside Parkway just west of Coffee Road around 1:30 a.m.
When officers got on scene they found a man in the roadway with major injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Officials said they don't know alcohol, drugs or speed were a factor in the crash.
The man's identity will be released at a later time by the Kern County Coroner's Office.
