The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who lost his life on Wednesday after a head-on collision on his motorcycle.

37-year-old Patrick Michael Persel collided with a commercial vehicle near SR- 58 and Old Tracy Road, Buttonwillow and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident took place around 5:58 a.m.
