A man is in the hospital after suffering major injuries in a collision with an SUV while he was riding his motorcycle.

According to Bakersfield Police, the man was riding his motorcycle northbound on Wible Road near  on Monday night. Police say the driver of the SUV was going south on Wible and didn't yield the right of way to the motorcycle rider, causing the collision. 

The man on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical condition.
