31-year-old Laura Danielle Barbee and 31-year-old Aimee Joi Johnson were killed on October 8, 2016 when their motorcycle collided with a vehicle.

Barbee was driving the motorcyle when it crashed and Johnson was a passenger. It occurred in Inyokern on State Route 178, just east of mile marker 81.50.
Cause and manner of death are pending a postmortem examination.
