On Sunday, October 9, 2016 around 1:45 p.m., 19-year-old Kelsea Dunlap was driving her Dodge eastbound on Woodrow Avenue east of Sheldon Drive when she collided with Lee Lyle, who was driving his Harley Davidson.
Dunlap was slowing in preparation to make a left turn into a residential driveway, at the same time Lyle was riding his Harley Davidson at a high rate of speed, rapidly overtaking the Dodge from behind.

As Dunlap began her left turn into the driveway, Lyle steered his Harley Davidson to the left and into the westbound lane of Woodrow Avenue in an apparent attempt to pass. The front of his Harley Davidson collided with the left side of her Dodge and Lyle was ejected from the Harley Davidson and pinned underneath the Dodge.
Lyle was successfully pulled out by emergency personnel and transported to Kern Medical Center.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
