BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Adoptable dogs are taking center stage Sunday in the https://www.facebook.com/bpcmuttstrutt/ event. First responders will led 18 different dogs down the runway to raise money and awareness for these animals.

Strutt with a Mutt starts at 12 p.m. Sunday with V.I.P. early entry and opens to general admission at 1 p.m. General admission tickets are still available as of Sunday morning at the door.

Dog escorts during the event include, Bakersfield Police, Kern County Sheriff's Office, local veterans and politicians.

Jacque Johnson with Bakersfield Pawsitive Connections said money from the event will help other dogs get the help they need to be adopted, such as checked medically, spayed, neutered and chip them. For more information about the event visit their Facebook page: Strutt with a Mutt.
