In one of the most hyped movie releases of the year, Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice took to the big screen tonight as part of the midnight release.

This movie is said to be the most epic battle of brains versus brawn and tonight movie goers and comic fans lined up hours before, eagerly waiting their turn to witness the action.

Yesterday 23 ABC reported that select showings of the spring hit Batman versus Superman Dawn of Justice were not yet sold out, but today was a different story .

Earlier this year Cineblend.com estimated the DC Comics and Warner Brothers production to bring in more than $800 million worldwide, leaving some fans like Armando Valdepena feeling lucky they got tickets for tonight.

There was five tickets left and we bought the four remaining. So I don't know whoever got the last one,” said Valdepena.

In a decision split down the middle hundreds of fans flooded Bakersfield theaters supporting both Batman and Superman.

And while many sported their blue and red or black and yellow, fans like Rachel Marroquin chose to support Wonder Woman saying it's nice to finally see a female super hero join the mix.

“Well it's the first time that she's making a big movie debut, and it's about time that we have a main character be a woman in a big super hero movie,” said Marroquin.

But after seeing tonight's premiere many fans were amazed at the low score critics handed out saying it was absolutely worth the wait.

“Totally disagree, totally disagree. I'd give it probably at least probably 100 because it's probably one of the best movies I've seen this year,” said Brian Zachary.

“The story line was really good, the acting was great, the special effects were awesome. Lot's of action,” said Miguel Munoz and Gino Sierra.

“The whole thing was good in general. Hands down best movie,” said Idalia Alcala and Kimberly Zamora.

And if you weren't able to see tonight's premiere, don't worry fans assured me that critics were completely wrong about this movie and that they highly recommend it.
