Viewer video showed the extent of traffic backed up along Highway 99.
23ABC reached out the CHP but there was no one available to give an update on the status of those involved in the crash.
At least one lane is blocked and injuries have been reported after a multi-vehicle accident on Southbound Highway 99 at the Highway 58 exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol traffic website, the accident involved at least four to five vehicles.
The website listed that one of the vehicles was carrying a pregnant woman and a juvenile.
Caltrans posted on Twitter saying SB 99 is backed up for five miles and WB 58 to NB 99 is backed up for 3 miles.
BAKERSFIELD: Southbound 99 currently has at least one lane blocked at the SR 58 exit due to a multi-vehicle collision as the result of a hit and run collision.
