BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Different Kern County agencies are partnering together to provide information during a World AIDS Day Resource Fair.

The resource fair will include guest speakers, tables of information from multiple agencies, and food baskets from CAPK Food Bank for qualifying individuals. According to organizers, the fair is meant to honor those affected by HIV/AIDS and to bring people together in the fight against the spread of HIV in Kern County.

According to hiv.gov, more than 1.1 million people in the U.S. are living with HIV today, and 1 in 7 of them don't know it.

The resource fair will be held on Friday, November 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Self Help Federal Credit Union located at 2100 H Street in Central Bakersfield. World AIDS Day is Saturday, December 1.
