Musician and actor Common will be visiting the Central Valley this month as he tours multiple prisons and holds a town hall in Bakersfield.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Common will be visiting the Central Valley Oct. 10-13 as part of Hope & Redemption Tour. Common will be visiting and performing inside three different prisons in the Central Valley. Those prisons have not been named. He will also be touring alongside his new nonprofit Imagine Justice.
He will also hold a town hall with youth leaders in Bakersfield. It's not known where the town hall will take place.
“I’m very grateful to go on this journey again to instill hope in our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated and engage youth leaders in California as we go on Imagine Justice’s Hope & Redemption Tour: Central Valley,” Common in a statement.
