The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Kern County is hosting their annual fundraiser today at Riverwalk Park.

NAMI is dedicated to fighting the stigma against mental illness.

This year they are hoping to raise $75,000 to raise money for their support, education and advocacy programs.

The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. This year's theme is "Be a Superhero for Mental Illness". Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their favorite superhero costume.
