Calling all active military and veterans. The National Airborne is celebrating their 76th birthday with a breakfast in Bakersfield.

Local veteran organizers said the breakfast event will be held Thursday August 16th at Coconut Joe's Banquet Hall at 4000 Easton Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event will start with a biscuits and gravy breakfast with coffee and orange juice. Then have a ceremony and cake cutting at 10:00 a.m.

Organizers said along with the breakfast there will be photo opportunities with real heroes who have jumped out of airplanes and military vehicles.
