UPDATE (5:34 p.m.): A "Severe Thunderstorm Warning" continues for Kernville, Roads End and Johnsondale through 5:45 p.m.

UPDATE (4:05 p.m.): The National Weather Service has issued a "Severe Thunderstorm Warning" for Cantil and Saltdale, just north of California City through 4:30 p.m. Winds can reach up to 60 miles per hour with quarter size hail.

UPDATE (3:44 p.m.): The National Weather Service has issued a "Severe Thunderstorm Warning" for Lake Isabella, Wofford Heights and Bodfish through 4:15 p.m.

A "Severe Thunderstorm Warning" has been issued for the eastern end of Kern County.

The National Weather Service out of Hanford issued the warning through 3:45 p.m. for Tehachapi and Mojave along Highway 58.
