Nearly 1,000 residents in Central and South Bakersfield are without power Tuesday morning.

According to Pacific Gas & Electric, the outage was reported around 6:19 a.m.

The outage stretches from as far west as Chester Avenue, as far east as Union, as far north as 6th Street and as far south as Townsley Avenue. 

PG&E estimates the outage to be fully restored at around 9:30 a.m.

It's not known what caused the outage.
