The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a report of a Shot Spotter activation in East Bakersfield on Saturday, September 22 at 11:38 p.m.

Officers located two spent .22 caliber casings and a firearm in the front yard of a residence.

The investigation led police to arrest 26-year-old Esteban for negligent discharge of firearm.

No shooting victims were found in the area.
