Nestle announces more temporary layoffs in Bakersfield

Nestlé USA, Inc. announced more temporary layoffs for the Bakersfield facility due to a reduction in production volume.

The temporary layoffs are as follows:
? 440 employees from the end of the shift that begins on December 8, 2017 through January 20, 2018;
? 92 employees from the end of the shift that begins on December 10, 2017 through January 20, 2018;
? 3 employees from the end of the shift that begins on December 17, 2017 through January 20, 2018.

This is in addition to the temporary reduction of 63 employees on November 26, 2017 through January 20, 2018. The entire facility will not be closed.

None of the employees being placed on temporary layoff is represented by a labor union.
