Fire crews in Southern California are battling a brush fire in the Devore area near the Cajon Pass that broke out Tuesday morning, KABC-TV reported.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the Bluecut Fire has grown to 30,000 acres.

Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in San Bernardino County Tuesday night as 82,000 people were evacuated.

The I-15 is backed up out of San Bernardino, 10News in San Diego reported. The wildfire is forcing multiple  freeway closures.

Fire officials confirmed with ABC7 in Los Angeles that structures were destroyed in the Swarthout Canyon area due to the blaze.

The fire started around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
