The Lamont Weedpatch Family Resource Center is asking for the community's help to make sure each child in need has a merry Christmas.  The Resource Center took to social media saying their Toys For Tots distribution is scheduled for next week, but they are running very short on toys for boys and girls between 3 and 9-years-old. Organizers said the Resource Center will be accepting new, unwrapped toys at the David Head Center in Lamont to help bridge the gap, so no child goes without. Toy donations will be accepted through Monday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. The toys will be given away to kids in the Weedpatch, Lamont and Fairfax school districts next Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m.
