One environmental agency says 50% of California's new oil wastewater wells are located near earthquake fault lines.

 

The Center For Biological Diversity says these oil wells are within 5 miles of a fault. The state's gas department issued 18 drill permits from April 2015 - March 2016, for wastewater injection wells in Kern, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties.

 

The CBD sent a letter to Governor Brown urging him to halt the oil wastewater injections.
