There's a new exhibit for kids at the Kern County Museum, and the public is invited to come take a look today!
Museum officials are celebrating the re-opening of the Lori Brock discovery center.
The renovation is thanks in part to a $50,000 dollar donation from the Junior League of Bakersfield.
Organizers say there's a lot more for kids to experience now, just in time for summer break.
The newly renovated center now has a greater focus on STEM education, concentrating on science, technology, engineering and math.
Wednesday's open house at the Kern County Museum runs from 3-5 p.m.
