BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — You can expect lane closures if you're driving on SR 178, west of M Street, tonight through Thursday night.
According to TRIP, the inside lane will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night for drainage work. Please be advised that at least one lane will be open to traffic while work is underway.
Next week, paving on the north side of 23rd Street will also prompt nighttime lane closures between D Street and M Street. That adjacent lane is expected to be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Tuesday, April 23 through Thursday, April 25. One lane will remain open for eastbound traffic.
TRIP advises drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes, if possible.
