BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The northbound State Route 99-to-eastbound State Route 58 connector ramp will be closed August 20, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closure is needed to re-stripe the roadway in advance of future freeway construction.
During the closure, northbound-to-eastbound traffic will continue north to the California Avenue exit, and then return southbound on State Route 99 to connect with eastbound State Route 58.
Nighttime lane closures have been scheduled for southbound State Route 99 between Belle Terrace and Ming Avenue from August 23-27 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A nighttime lane closure has also been scheduled for August 23, on California Avenue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and will affect all eastbound lanes between Marella Way and Easton Drive.
The closure is needed to grade falsework for the future Centennial Corridor bridge crossing.
Eastbound motorists can use Stockdale Highway or Truxtun Avenue to detour around the California Avenue work area.
