No arrests made in BPD checkpoint

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — No arrests were made in this weekend's Bakersfield Police Department DUI/Driver's License Checkpoint.

The checkpoint was held on Saturday in the 4500 block of Panama Lane between 6p.m. and 2 a.m.

Twelve drivers were cited for driving while unlicensed. Seven drivers were found to be driving on a suspended license.

The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
