ARVIN, Calif. — Despite a recent ordinance requiring employees at local businesses to wear a face mask, not a single citation has been issued in the city of Arvin.
Back in May, the Arvin City Council moved forward with a plan that required many people in the rural community to begin wearing face masks or face punishment. Council members voted 4-to-1 to require all city employees, along with local businesses, to wear face masks while on the job.
Mayor Jose Gurrola said that the Arvin police department would enforce the ordinance and anyone not complying could be cited.
