An inmate assigned to North Kern State Prison was discovered to be missing on Friday Nov. 3 at approximately 9:10 p.m.
Minimum-custody inmate Daniel Lucas Salazar was not found during a count. Escape procedures were immediately activated at the facility.
Salazar was serving a three-year, eight-month prison sentence for second degree robbery and the use of the ID of another person to obtain information in Aug. 2016.
The missing inmate is described as a 30-year-old Hispanic male with short black hair, hazel eyes and weighing around 185 pounds.
