The Kern County Board of Supervisors proclaimed November as National Adoption Awareness Month on Tuesday in Kern County.
This event comes just about a week before Kern County's 15th Annual National Adoption Day celebration on Nov. 17 where close to 40 adoptions will be finalized at the Juvenile courts and Family Court Divisions.
The celebration will begin at 1 p.m. where the first adoption of the day will be completed at the Juvenile Justice Center located at 2100 College Avenue.
