The Bakersfield City School District is inviting families to the “Now We’re Cooking” resource fair and barbecue today.
The event is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Williams Elementary School.
“Now We’re Cooking” is a monthly cooking class that engages parents and students on how to make long lasting, healthier lifestyle decisions.
Attendees can also gather information from community partner booths such as the United Farm Workers Foundation and the United Way.
Cooks from the Kern County Fire Department and Hall Ambulance will be firing up the grill for a BBQ dinner.
