The National Weather Service Hanford Office has issued a wind advisory for the Tehachapi Mountains and Kern County desert areas.
The NWS Hanford Office forecasts there will be sustained west winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. These strong winds may blow down tree branches and power lines. It will also make driving difficult for high-profile vehicles.

The wind advisory goes into effect at 3 p.m. on Thursday until 9 p.m. on Friday.
