Bakersfield Police officials said they arrested an off-duty BPD officer for DUI on Friday night.
BPD officials said at around 11:38 pm, their officers were dispatched to the intersection of Brimhall Rd. and Jewetta Ave. for an accident involving two vehicles.
When BPD officers arrived, they determined one of the drivers was off duty Bakersfield Police Officer Robert Woods.
He was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
Woods and the two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their minor injuries.
