UPDATE: Aaron Mundhenke's sister Cheyenne spoke with 23ABC on her brother's condition. She said his pelvis is broken and he was in surgery. She says her and her family are okay but are still in shock.

UPDATE: 8:34 a.m.: BPD confirms Aaron Mundhenke was the off-duty officer who was shot in Vegas last night. He was shot at the hip and is in stable condition.

We're learning that several off-duty Bakersfield Police Officers were attending the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas Sunday night.
Several people were shot, including an off-duty BPD officer. He has been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Some of the officers also witnessed the gunfire, but say they were not in position to return fire.
Chief Lyle Martin and the entire Bakersfield Police Department have released a statement, saying they "extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims of this brutal act, as well as to the first responders of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, and Las Vegas emergency medical services."
