According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office an officer was shot on Wednesday near Sacramento Country Club.

The condition of the officer is unknown, as well as what department the officer is with.

The shooting took place along the 2600 block of Auburn Boulevard near the Ramada Inn.

Investigators have not identified a suspect or a motive yet.

Sacramento police are on the scene with other law enforcement.
