The Bakersfield Police Department celebrated National Coffee Day by connecting with the community with a number of Coffee with a Cop events throughout Bakersfield.

Officer Jesse Gomez was at the Starbucks inside of Target on North West Promenade and said he enjoys meeting some of the people that come by.

They ask him questions that range from what it takes to become an officer and what type of calls they get on the job.

The next Coffee with a Cop will be from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Starbucks inside of the Target at the Valley Plaza Mall on Friday.
