Officials asking for public's help in identifying body found in a silo

SHAFTER, Calif. — Officials are asking for the public's help in identifying a body found in a silo in Shafter on June 5.

According to Shafter Police Department, the unidentified body was located 3/4 of a mile west of Zerker Road, and two miles north of Seventh Standard Road after reports from a Westside Farms employee around 9 a.m that day.

Officials describes the unidentified body as a 18 to 30 year old male, Caucasian or Hispanic, with a neatly groomed mustache and a goatee. His hair is brown, medium length, and wavy. He is 5’10 ½ “ tall and weighs 161 pounds. The body was also reportedly found wearing a dark colored “Volcom” brand t-shirt size large, red colored “Adidas” brand athletic shorts with black stripes size medium, white colored ankle socks, and a white metal chain necklace.
