BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This weekend the Bakersfield Police Department is continuing to crack down on street racing in the city.
Saturday night during the street racing operation, officials issued ten citations and impounded three cars. Two people were also arrested for grand theft auto after a traffic stop according to police.
During another operation on Friday, officials issued 11 citations and impounded one car as well.
According to BPD another operation also took place on Saturday night as well, but the latest numbers have not yet been released.
Additional street racing operations are expected to take place over the course of the next several weeks.
