Kern County fire officials and Kern County Sheriff's Department deputies said a 19-year-old is dead after drowning in the Kern River Canyon.
Officials received a call around 9 a.m. regarding a body in the river.
Kern County Search and Rescue deployed a raft into the river and recovered the body.
