BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Officials say one man is injured after a shooting at a park in McFarland Friday evening.
According to the McFarland Police Department, units responded to multiple reports of a shooting at McFarland Park near West Sherwood Avenue and Second Street at about 7:16 p.m.
Police were unable to confirm the severity of the man's injuries, but said the man was able to drive himself to the Delano Regional Medical Center.
MPD said Frontage Road will be restricted for the next several hours, as police investigate.
According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies are also assisting.
