Officials: Seven new human cases of West Nile Virus in Kern County

KERN COUNTY, Calif. — State officials have confirmed seven new human cases of West Nile Virus in Kern County alone.

According to WestNile.ca.gov , the state's website that tracks the West Nile Virus, the total number of cases in the county is up to 10.

The first human case of the virus was reported in Kern County was on August 23. So far, the total number of human cases in the state is 89.
