BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An Oildale father faces multiple charges in a case involving a 7-year-old being found with his hands and feet zip-tied together. William Davis, 32, was charged on five counts, including willful cruelty to a child.
On Saturday police were called when a neighbor found the boy after he had hopped out of his apartment with his hands and feet zip-tied together. The boy also appeared to be suffering from previous injuries inflicted by a cord.
According to investigators, Davis would leave his son alone for 10 hours a day while he worked.
Davis was arrested and booked in the Kern County jail with bail set at $250,000. His next court appearance is Thursday.
