BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - It is overdose awareness month and the Oildale community action team is hosting an opioid awareness event Saturday night.
The event will be held in Centennial Plaza on north Chester avenue at Norris road from 7-9 p.m.
Organizers say it's to shed light upon the opioid pandemic and provide hope to those struggling with the stigma of addiction.
Face coverings are required and social distancing will be enforced.
