Kern County Public Health closed The Catering Stop in Oildale Thursday due to multiple health code violations.

Public health said rodent droppings were found in the hallway and in the storage area.

Food was also stored on the floor in the walk-in freezer and there was no food preparation sink to wash produce and other food products creating cross-contamination concerns.

Public health also said wastewater overflowed outside of the driveway and parking lot creating an odor. There was also an excess of trash found around the dumpster.

The Catering Stop, located at 101 East Beardsley Avenue, will be closed until further notice.
