UPDATE (11/1 5:30 p.m.) -- The woman accused in this incident appeared in court Tuesday afternoon. Nikki Travis pleaded not guilty and will appear in court again next week. Her bail was reduced to $250,000.

An Oildale woman is in custody after running over her ex-boyfriend and another woman.

According to Lieutenant Smallwood of the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Nikki Travis is in a family dispute with her sisters over her recently deceased mother's estate.

On October 29, Travis heard that her ex-boyfriend and another woman were inside her mother's home.

Travis then ran the two people over and was arrested for second-degree attempted murder, threaten with intent to terrorize, vandalism and reckless driving.

She is currently being held on $1 million bail.
