PORTERVILLE, Calif. — On June 26, according to the Porterville Police Department, one person was arrested for a DUI while a DUI checkpoint was conducted at Plano Street and Park Avenue from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Another driver was cited for driving without a license.

Checkpoint locations are selected based on a history of crashes and DUI arrests.

PPD will hold another DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint during July.
