The One Book Project had its first-ever virtual press conference. The One Book Project is a community-wide reading and discussion project inviting everyone to read and discuss the themes of women in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math and women's rights.
The virtual conference was Tuesday morning.
Representatives from the Kern County Library, California State University Bakersfield, First-year Experience, and Bit-wise Industries spoke of the program and specifically on how the program does in Kern County. The project is also in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
