One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in the 10500 block of Alfred Harrell Hwy just after 1 p.m. today.

Bakersfield Police say the motorcycle carrying two passengers were going eastbound on Alfred Harrell Highway when the driver lost control and hit the curb. 

While the passenger suffered from minor injuries, the driver was transported to a local hospital where he later died. 

Officials say neither drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor in this crash.
