One dead, two injured in shooting outside of the FoodMaxx in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -

 

UPDATE: (July 30, 2018, 5:24 p.m.)

There is still a search for suspects and the suspected vehicle. 

 

(July 30, UPDATE: (July 30, 2018, 10:40 a.m.)  The Kern County Coroner's office identified the victim in the East Bakersfield shooting as 21-year-old Adam Malik Cook of Bakersfield. The Coroner's office says he died at Kern Medical after being shot at another location.

 

The Kern County Sheriff Department is investigating a shooting in East Bakersfield. 

 

Deputies were dispatched just after 12 a.m. on Monday to the FoodMaxx located at 6465 Niles for reports of a shooting.

 

When KCSO deputies arrived on the scene, they did not find a victim but did find a crime scene in the Northeast part of the FoodMaxx parking lot.

 

Deputies located three victims at Kern Medical, one of which was deceased.
