Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department said one man was hurt after a shooting occurred at Heritage Park Sunday afternoon. 

BPD officials said that  they responded to a call of shots fired at the park located on Mt. Vernon Ave & Bernard St at 2:40 PM.

Officials added that the male victim suffered from minor injuries

The man's age is unknown at this time.
