Police have arrested one man after determining he was responsible for a shooting that injured one man in central Bakersfield.

BPD says the shooting happened at about 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The victim was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

At about 8:30 p.m., 32-year-old Gustavo Diaz Santana was arrested for attempted murder and numerous firearm and drug-related charges.
